Brian Dash was amazed at the response of the ruling Conservatives when he drew attention to the lack of youth service presence in Hythe & Dibden and the funding shortfall which resulted from Tory funding changes 4 years ago.

“They told me that the New Forest had been over-funded and that I should not complain because funding had been increased in the south of Test Valley where there are Lib Dem County Councillors!!” says Brian. 

“That’s all it is to them, silly points scoring.  If other areas were short of funds why didn’t they just increase the budget – not take it away from the Forest.”
